What is the YES SHE CAN (YSC) Series? First and foremost this series has been created as an intentional approach for the YWCA Quad Cities to fashion events that align directly with our mission: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
The YSC Series will offer a variety of community events (averaging at least one event per month), with the overall vision to educate women of all ages and demographics on a variety of topics, and increase awareness on pressing issues facing all females today. These events will be offered to YSC Series members AND will open to the public, with most having little or no registration fee. If there is a registration fee, YSC Series members will be offered a discounted fee. Event topics could include: early childhood education, STEAM education, housing, civil rights, fair wages, sexual assault, health awareness, lifestyle issues, youth leadership development, self-image and race relations. This list will regularly be reviewed and added to, especially from soliciting input from YES SHE CAN Series members and corporate partners.
The YES SHE CAN Series is structured similar to a chamber membership model, where individuals will pay an annual membership fee. All revenue raised through securing said memberships will be used for the sole purpose of providing the programming affiliated w/ The YSC Series. Additionally, there are opportunities for organizations to become annual corporate sponsors of the series.
Individual annual memberships are $100/per year; however, from now until October 11, membership dues are discounted to $50. After October 11th, all registrations are full price at $100. Register online at:
