We have a secure entrance that requires a code before entering the facility. There is always a person at the desk to assist parents and visitors. Only people that you have indicated in your application packet can pick-up your child, and they should bring identification with them.

Our playground features a safe surface and new equipment installed in 2011. Outdoor time is available each day, weather permitting. During indoor program time a variety of materials will be available to choose from. Games, puzzles, art supplies, blocks and books are accessible. We also have several iPads that are available for our before and after school children.
We serve breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Menus are posted in the hallway so you can see the food that your child will be eating for the entire month. We follow CACFP guidelines for nutrition.
We welcome and encourage involvement from our parents. You can visit your child unannounced at any time. Some parents like to peek in through the windows on our classrooms doors to watch their children play.
Schedule a Visit
We understand that making a decision about the care of your child is very important, and this process begins with a visit to our center. Contact us to set up a time where you can see our facilities and meet the child care providers that will be working with your child.
There are a variety of forms to fill out before your child's first day at the YWCA. As a fully-licensed, accredited center, we need you to fill out the application packet you will receive during your visit. We also need a copy of your child's birth certificate, a physical form with immunization records, children over the age of one need a TB test and lead screening.
Children above the age of three are provided the opportunity to take swimming lessons during the day. Children are not forced to participate. All children wear a life jacket and lifeguards are on duty at all times. Your child's teachers are in the water with them as well.
Child Care Resource and Referral
If you are using funding from the Child Care Resource and Referral subsidy, you must fill out an application. You will be required to pay a co-pay and provide two current pay stubs. We can assist you with these forms. Call and ask for Karena.
USDA Food Program
We follow the USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This form must be filled out by all families.
CACFP provides aid to child care programs for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of young children.
We strive to have a safe and healthy environment for all children and therefore we have guidelines for when our little ones are not feeling well. Children with the following conditions cannot attend the center or must be picked up by a parent within 30 minutes of the phone call:
Temperature of 101 or higher
Difficult or rapid breathing
Untreated/infected skin patches, unusual spots or rashes
Evidence of lice or scabies
Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
