Shop for a Cause – Upscale Resale Boutique in Downtown Rock Island

Attention all shop-a-holics! The fashion-obsessed have a new place to shop AND drop dollars for a cause at the new Moxie: A Resale Boutique in downtown Rock Island.

Moxie is a second-hand resale boutique open to the public. The boutique is a part of the YWCA’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Program designed for women who are entering or re-entering the workforce to seek gainful employment. The career resource center will help women with resume writing, job interviewing skills, goal setting, budgeting and personal hygiene. Each woman enrolled in the YWCA Women’s Economic Empowerment Program will receive two free career outfits upon completing the program. Individuals and businesses throughout the Quad Cities donated the clothing.

The shop is open Tuesday through Thursday, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Donations are always accepted and can be left at Moxie or the YWCA.
