Youth Programs

SACC - School Age Child Care Program

Starting this fall, the YWCA will offer after school care from the end of the school day until 5:30 pm at Frances Willard Elementary during the school year and at the YWCA during school breaks.

YWCA Before & After School Program

Provided on site at the YWCA for students at the Rock Island Center for Math and Science Elementary School. The YWCA provides van transportation to and from the school.

Schools Out Fun Days

School Age Child Care provided on site at the YWCA during school breaks and summer vacation. School breaks follow the Rock Island/Milan School District Calendar, breaking for 2 weeks in October, December and March.

Teen Parent & Child Education Center

Day Care provided at the Rock Island High School that enables teenage parentsof infants and toddlers to complete their high school education. The center is licensed for children from 6 weeks to 30 months. Operation hours are from 7:30 am - to 4:30 pm, on weekdays, when school isin session.

The Three O'Clock Project

After school Program for at-risk youths in the Rock Island/MilanSchool District.. The YWCA provides transportation to and from the program which operates from 2:30 - 5:30, four days a week. A wide variety of fun and educational activities are offered for the children including substance abuse programming, anger management, arts, science, drama swimming, field trips and recreational games.

YWCA of the Quad Cities Child Care Programs

All child care programs offered by YWCA of the Quad Cities provide fun learning experiences for young children and youths. Our positive, developmental approach to learning includes social, emotional, intellectual and physical activities for each child.

The YWCA Child Care Center is for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. The programs provides an emphasis on sharing, manners, self-esteem, respect for others, self-responsibility, self discipline and cultural heritage. Intellectual and physical priorities include development of large and small muscle coordination, problem solving, verbal expressions, hearing and visual learning, visual skills, reading readiness and creative expression.
